Departure point: Car park overlooking the Longeyroux peat bog, on the edge of the D109.

The Longeyroux peat bog is an unusual site which benefits from several protection measures. Since 1986, a Prefectural Biotope Protection Order has covered 255 hectares. This site is also listed in the inventory of natural monuments of the Corrèze Department. The law on water of 03/01/1992 is fully applicable since the Vézère, one of the largest rivers in the department, has its source here. The Mountain Law of 09/01/1985 also covers this area. Concerned about preserving this site of national importance, the Limousin CREN currently manages 120 hectares.

Discover the landscapes and the typical flora and fauna of the heaths through 9 interpretation stations.

Signposting: stone blocks engraved with a heather flower and a purple directional arrow.
